The Westland Shopping mall in Brussels has had a record year: in 2025, it welcomed more than 6.8 million visitors, the highest number since the completion of the shopping center’s renovation in 2022.
Strong newcomers
Visitor numbers grew by 6.5% last year, Westland Shopping reports on LinkedIn. December proved to be an exceptionally strong month, with growth of 9% to more than 700,000 visitors.
The shopping center, owned by AG Real Estate and comprising 110 stores covering 50,000 m², welcomed several strong newcomers last year, including Douglas, Sostrene Grene, Pandora, America Today, and Flying Tiger Copenhagen. According to Westland Shopping, this means that it is almost 100% leased. Several new brands will also be joining the shopping center in 2026.
2026 appears to have been a good year for Belgian indoor shopping centers: this month, City2 and Wijnegem Shopping Center also reported high visitor numbers.
