Aldi on growth course in US: 180 new stores planned

Aldi Süd is maintaining a steady pace of expansion in the US: this year, the discounter plans to open more than 180 new stores and enter a new state. It will also launch a new website with improved e-commerce functionalities.

Focus on the Southwest

On Monday, Aldi announced major expansion ambitions in the US in a press release: more than 180 new stores will be added in 31 states this year, bringing the total to nearly 2,800. Last year, the company also opened nearly 200 stores there. The goal remains to have 3,200 stores by the end of 2028.
