British multinational Reckitt has agreed a deal to sell its cleaning products division Essential Home to investment firm Advent International. Reckitt will retain a 30 % stake in the spun-off unit, which is valued at 4.8 billion dollars (4.5 billion euros).
Global brands galore
The deal gives Advent ownership of global brands such as Air Wick, Cillit Bang, Calgon and Woolite. The division owns around eighty brands, spread across seventy markets worldwide. In 2024, the division generated nearly 2.5 billion euros in revenue, accounting for 14 % of Reckitt’s total revenue.
