At McCain Foods, the world’s largest frozen fries producer, a family feud threatens to erupt again now that Eleanor McCain wants to sell her stake in the Canadian family business.

Diversification

McCain, 56, is the daughter of co-founder Wallace McCain. She now wants to cash in her shares for one billion Canadian dollars (600 million euros) to use the proceeds to focus on philanthropy, estate planning and a broader diversification of her investments, Belgian newspaper De Standaard quotes the Financial Times. However, other family members dispute that valuation.
