On Wednesday, Foodmaker opened the very first branch of its new Foodmaker Café concept in Brussels, a meeting place where healthy food takes center stage. The opening marks the start of an ambitious international growth plan.

At the heart of “the healthiest café in the world” is the Farm Buffet, where customers can choose from a range of hot and cold dishes for a fixed price. Foodmaker strives to ensure that all products have a Nutri-Score of A or B and that no artificial additives (unless legally required), refined sugars, or ultra-processed foods are used. Many ingredients come from the company’s own organic fields in Laakdal and Assent, which makes it possible to bring meals from the field to the plate without any intermediaries.
