While Casino is trying to reduce its mountain of debt and restructure the organization, the French supermarket group is also opting for a new identity for its neighborhood stores. The modernization goes hand in hand with an extension of its transformation plan until 2030.
Three brands remain
After more than a century of history (Casino was founded in 1898), the group has opted for simplification. The range of formulas such as Casino Shop, Petit Casino, and Casino#ToutPrès will disappear. From now on, only three brand names will remain: Casino for urban locations, Spar for tourist areas, and Vival for rural regions.
