Ann Biebuyck, former CEO of Lunch Garden, will become the new CEO of meat processing company Q-Group. Her appointment follows the recent change of ownership at the meat company.
Consequence of takeover
“Over the past decades, Q-food has grown into a leading player in Belgium. With more than 200 team members, Q-Group supplies meat products to more than 2,000 points of sale, representing an annual turnover of more than 100 million euros,” Biebuyck explains on LinkedIn. “This new chapter fills me with energy and ambition!”
In 2023, Q-Group announced a phased takeover by the Dutch Van Loon Group, spread over five years. Recently, the Dutch industry peer acquired a majority stake. As a result, Guy De Bruycker, a member of the founding family and current CEO, is now stepping aside. De Bruycker will continue to be involved with the company in a commercial role, Ann Biebuyck reports.
“My mission for the future is to accelerate growth, deepen our customer relationships, and continue to innovate in a rapidly changing market,” says the new CEO. Q-Group had a turnover of 86.5 million euros last year and mainly supplies commercial kitchens.
