Nestlé has appointed Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen as CEO of Nespresso, replacing Philipp Navratil. The Mexican is currently CEO of Nespresso North America, and will move up to the global scale on 1 November.

Gonzalez Loeschen has been CEO of Nespresso North America since January 2020, but has been working for Nestlé since 1992. In a press release, Nestlé CEO Philipp Navratil lauds his “extensive expertise and deep understanding of the portioned coffee category.”
Navratil was also his predecessor: he left Nespresso on 2 September, to take the reins of the whole Nestlé-group, following the dismissal of Laurent Freixe. The latter had to leave the drinks giant because of a “undisclosed romantic relationship with a direct subordinate”, an affair that also cost chairman Paul Bulcke his job.
