Mango enters the Icelandic market with its first store in Reykjavik. The Barcelona-based fashion group is opening in the Smáralind shopping center as a new step in its international expansion.
Strategic plan
The store in Smáralind, Reykjavik’s largest shopping complex, covers 450 m² and focuses exclusively on the women’s collection. The interior is designed according to Mango’s “New Med” concept, inspired by the Mediterranean, with a focus on sustainability and traditional, artisanal, and natural materials.
The opening is part of Mango’s 4E 2024-2026 strategic plan. The retailer wants to strengthen its distinctive value proposition, focus on innovation and sustainability, and expand its store network both domestically and internationally. The pillars of growth are the expansion of the teen category, strengthening its presence in markets such as Italy and the United States, and opening stores for the Home category.
Today, Mango already has almost 3,000 stores in more than 120 markets. By the end of 2026, the retailer is aiming for €4 billion in sales and 500 additional stores.
