Why Ikea is looking for its place in Best Buy

Ikea has announced a very unusual collaboration in the United States: the furniture retailer is opening shop-in-shops in ten stores of electronics chain Best Buy. This is only the second time ever that Ikea partners with another retailer in this way.

In a striking collaboration, Swedish furniture chain Ikea is opening ten shop-in-shops within Best Buy locations in Florida and Texas. The United States is Ikea’s second largest market, after Germany – but ahead of its home country Sweden.

    Currys delivers stronger interim profit

    Currys lifted interim profit and cash flow as revenue for the half-year ended 1 November reached 4.23 billion British pounds (4.9 billion euros). Adjusted profit before tax more than doubled to 22 million pounds (26 million euros), allowing the retailer to keep full-year guidance aligned with board expectations.
