[In the picture] Foodmaker Café aims to set new benchmark for healthy food

Food10 December, 2025

On Wednesday, Foodmaker opened the first branch of its new Foodmaker Café concept in Brussels. The restaurant is meant to be a meeting place where healthy food takes centre stage, and marks the start of an ambitious international growth plan.

“Becoming the European benchmark for healthy ready meals”

At the heart of “the healthiest café in the world” is the Farm Buffet, where customers can choose from a range of hot and cold dishes for a fixed price. Foodmaker strives to ensure that all products have a Nutri-Score of A or B and that no artificial additives (unless legally required), refined sugars or ultra-processed foods are used. Many ingredients come from the company’s own organic fields in Laakdal and Assent, which makes it possible to bring meals from the field to the plate without any intermediaries.
