HNGRY helps customer create dishes

Fashion12 September, 2014

Formula from Berlin

Customers that visit HNGRY will have to have particular dishes in mind. When they find that dish in the shop, they will immediately have access to all the ingredients of that dish. The portions are always for 2 people in an attempt to cut back on food waste. Once the purchase has been completed, customers also get a recipe to prepare the ingredients they have just purchased.

Founder Thierry Peeters brought back this store formula from Berlin. Thanks to HNGRY, you will not have to look for recipes, because we offer those alongside the ingredients to make them. It is healthy, quick and tasteful. HNGRY customers are urban people who want to have healthy food, who want to cook at home and who do not have a lot of time”, he explained.

“We have beautiful, healthy and easy dishes to prepare at home. Everything is fresh. […] When you step outside of HNGRY, you will have an inspiring recipe and the right portion size. That will bring down waste to a minimum.”

New recipes every week

HNGRY currently offers 10 dishes, for fish, meat or vegetarian meals, but the product range gets altered every week with prices varying from 5 to 10 euro per person. Located right above the ingredients is a picture to show what the meal will look like once prepared, topped off with food preparation information.

“My goal is to help make people’s life easier, but I also want to help them change up their cooking and food schedule. On top of that, I want to re-evaluate the store experience. The innovative way of looking at a store based on recipes, with only high-quality dishes and the right portion sizes, is an entirely new way of thinking.”

HNGRY will also offer delicacies, like 30 types of tea, home-made jams and Italian specialties.
