Belgian retailer Van Marcke has opened a showroom in Aalst, according to a concept that breaks with traditional product presentations and emphasises inspiration, personal guidance and the realisation of bathroom dreams.
High-quality inspiration
A digital drawing board forms the heart of the new Van Marcke showroom, which is somewhat smaller in size but still offers an unprecedented variety of styles, high-quality materials and the latest trends. Full bathrooms and product zones are presented there in a way that makes mixing and matching easier than ever.
Unlike a traditional showroom, which focuses purely on the sale of products, Van Marcke’s new showroom is designed as a high-end source of inspiration. “We want to depart from the pure display of products and focus on the inspiration and advice our interior designers can offer”, Head of Experience & Concept, Charlotte Packet, says. “It is not about buying a product, it is about buying a bathroom dream, an idea, a complete concept.”
Around the digital drawing board, customers will find an extensive sample corner,so that visitors can draw their bathroom and use the products on display as supporting material. It seems clear that in this smaller, digital concept, the retailer is taking a lot of lessons from the virtual shop it tested in the centre of Antwerp in 2023.
