To support its strong growth, Wibra will be moving into a larger distribution centre in Apeldoorn at the beginning of next year. The retailer’s head office will remain in Epe.
“Close to our roots”
Wibra is moving its current distribution activities to a new, larger distribution centre at the Ecofactorij business park in Apeldoorn. The handover of the keys will take place today, the retailer reports. After renovation and refurbishment, the move is planned for the first quarter of 2026. The current distribution centre in Epe, in use since 1978, has become too small due to the expansion of the number of shops and the strong growth of the webshop. In Apeldoorn, the activities of the distribution centre in Epe and the webshop warehouse in Vaassen will be brought together under one roof.
The new distribution centre is located close to Epe, the place where the company was founded. “It is important for us to stay close to our roots,” says CEO Bas Duijsens. “At the same time, Wibra is growing and we need a larger location to be ready for the future. We have found that place in Apeldoorn: close to home, familiar and with room to expand. This allows us to remain rooted in the region, but also to serve our customers and shops even better in the future.”
All employees will keep their jobs and will be actively involved in the move. A new use is being sought for the current distribution centre in Epe.
