Trade federation Comeos has found a new CEO: on Wednesday, Pascal De Greef will take the reins as Dominique Michel’s successor.
Reconciling members
De Greef (53) has built a career across retail, logistics and services. He wants to “continue to build a strong and future-oriented trade in Belgium – dynamic, innovative and sustainable.” In doing so, he does face a difficult task, because especially since the franchising of all Delhaize stores, the interests of members such as Delhaize and Colruyt are miles apart.
Comeos chairman Erwin Van Osta is very pleased with the appointment: “With his broad experience and vision, Pascal is ideally placed to lead our federation at a time when trade is facing major challenges. He is the right person to further strengthen our federation and address today’s challenges – think for example of the impact of Asian webshops on our market. We have every confidence in him.”
De Greef succeeds Dominique Michel as Comeos CEO: he stepped down earlier this year after seventeen years in the position.
