After years of financial difficulties, Sligro expects to post positive figures in Belgium for the first time since 2018. The hospitality wholesaler has finally solved its logistical problems and is now targeting growth in sales and market share.
Logistics mess and IT disaster
At the annual general meeting of shareholders, Managing Director Koen Slippens said that Sligro expects to achieve a positive EBITDA in Belgium this year. However, he would not say exactly how much this profit before depreciation and tax will be: any positive result is already a major step forward, he told Dutch newspaper Financieele Dagblad.
