Dutch dairy producer FrieslandCampina has recorded a 25 % profit growth in the first half of the year, but warns its margins may come under pressure due to declining consumer confidence and the weak dollar.

The first half of the year was exceptionally strong, CEO Jan Derck van Karnebeek pointed out: FrieslandCampina achieved a profit of 230 million euros, more than a quarter more than a year earlier. Net revenue increased by 6 %, driven by higher selling prices.
