Veepee has expanded its ‘Re-turn’ service to the Benelux, allowing customers to purchase items that have been returned by other users. The French webshop, formerly Vente Privée, says it wants to give returned products a second life.
Silent launch
The service was actually ‘silent-launched’ in Belgium, Luxembourg and The Netherlands three months ago, and the returns catalogue now has between 15,000 and 30,000 products available. Every day, between 4,000 and 7,000 new items are added, according to the company – with almost half being resold within 24 hours.
Customers can find items at Re-turn with an additional discount, while partner brands can use it as a solution to “optimise their inventories and extend the life cycle of their products”, the company said in a press release.
The service was originally launched in France in 2021. Veepee says it has already sold more than 1.8 million returned items through the scheme.
