Following liquidation in France, the Belgian branch of French fashion chain Naf Naf has now also filed for bankruptcy. The remaining stores have closed their doors for good.

Curator handles case

The Naf Naf store in Médiacité in Liège was the first to close its doors, in July. The store on Rue Neuve in Brussels was the last, just last week. Employees were notified of their dismissal by email last Thursday, a receiver is now handling the case, Sudinfo reports.

In August, it became clear that Naf Naf would disappear as a retail chain, when French fashion group Beaumanoir took over the brand rights from the fashion chain that was then under judicial protection. The acquirer also acquired twelve stores, with the intention of operating them under other brands. Meanwhile, the brand has also gone bankrupt in Italy, Portugal and Spain.
