In March next year, Alexander Lacik, CEO of Danish jewelry maker Pandora, will retire. His successor has already been announced: current chief marketing officer Berta de Pablos-Barbier will become the new CEO.
Repositioning
Lacik will step down at the general meeting on March 11, 2026, after almost seven years as CEO. He turned the company around and positioned Pandora as a fully-fledged jewelry brand. Under his leadership, revenue grew by 45% and the workforce increased from 24,000 to 37,000. The company is now in the top 100 most valuable brands and the top 50 most sustainable companies worldwide. Last year, the company achieved sales of €4.24 billion and a net profit of €700 million.
His successor, Spain’s Berta de Pablos-Barbier, previously held senior positions at Moët and Chandon, part of the luxury group LVMH, and before that at Mars Wrigley, Lacoste, and Boucheron. She joined Pandora last year to reposition the brand, focusing on expanding the jewelry range and marketing innovation. “I am honoured to take over as CEO after Alexander next year,” she says. “Even though we are the largest in our industry, Pandora still holds significant untapped potential, and I am excited to work with our amazing organization and lead the company in this next chapter.”
