Lululemon has opened its first Italian flagship store in the heart of Milan, another milestone in the Canadian sportswear retailer’s push forward in Europe.
New impetus for European expansion
The new store covers two floors and offers the full range of men’s and women’s collections, with items for a variety of activities such as yoga, running and golf, on an area of 530 sqm. Its design should combine traditional Italian craftsmanship with contemporary technology. International visitors benefit from duty-free shopping through Global Blue.
With the opening in Milan, Lululemon underlines its ambitions in Europe. The retailer, which has 770 branches worldwide, aims to significantly increase its international share of sales by the end of 2026. Earlier this month, the chain already landed at London Heathrow with its first shop at a European airport in Terminal 5. The chain says it believes such locations are crucial for building brand loyalty in new markets. A few weeks earlier, it had already opened its first Belgian shop in Antwerp.
