Kiabi is fully committed to diversification in order to maintain its position in a difficult fashion market. The chain is expanding its range with second-hand clothing and toys, a collection of home textiles, and a new line of children’s shoes. The rollout in France will accelerate significantly in the coming months.
Second-hand is being scaled up
With the “Beebs by Kiabi” concept launched last year, the retailer is gradually rolling out a second-hand offering in its stores. By the end of September, half of the French network, excluding affiliated stores, was already offering both a clothing collection service and in-store resale. During a press event, the CEO of Kiabi France, Ouarda Ech-Chykry, explained the plans.
