Dr. Martens has entered into new distribution partnerships with Beside Group in the United Arab Emirates and Crosby in Latin America. In doing so, the British footwear brand’s makes its debut in the Emirates and accelerates its rollout in Latin America.
Capital-light growth
Thanks to the collaboration with Beside Group, Dr. Martens stores are expected to open in the United Arab Emirates in the future, the footwear label reports. In Latin America, the rollout is already one step further: distributor Crosby opened a Dr. Martens store in Santiago, Chile, this week. It is the second in the region, following an opening in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in August.
The collaboration with Crosby expands the reach in Mexico, Argentina, Paraguay, and Chile and includes both additional monobrand stores and wholesale. Both new agreements are the next step in the brand’s growth plans, which are looking for additional international expansion routes in previously untapped markets.
Ije Nwokorie, CEO of Dr. Martens: “These exciting partnerships are in line with our strategy to enter new growth markets and reach more consumers than ever before through a capital-light model. We see enormous potential for Dr. Martens in the United Arab Emirates and Latin America.”
