A few weeks after the court rejected the French government’s request to temporarily block Shein, the Chinese e-commerce player is reopening its marketplace in the country, albeit with a limited range of products.

On November 5, Shein closed its marketplace for third-party sellers in France on its own initiative after the DGCCRF (the French competition, consumer protection, and fraud prevention agency) discovered dolls with child pornographic characteristics, weapons, and banned medicines. The French government then filed a request to temporarily block Shein in France, but that request was rejected by the Paris court on December 19, although the company was subject to a number of conditions.
