Amazon has launched Lens Live, a feature in its shopping app that recognises products in real time and compares them to offerings on the platform, iOS users in the United States. It will be rolled out further in the coming weeks.
Competition with Google and Pinterest
After Google Lens and Pinterest Lens, Amazon now has its own visual search feature. According to Trishul Chilimbi, vice president and chief scientist of Stores Foundational AI at Amazon, the addition makes searching and comparing easier: “Lens Live instantly scans products and displays real-time matches in a swipeable carousel to make finding the right item easier.”
