Apple has sold significantly more iPhones in the last quarter, while Amazon‘s stores were also operating at full capacity. This is the result of a hoarding effect: American consumers wanted to make their purchases before the import tariffs took effect.
Largest revenue growth in four years
Apple sold 44.6 billion dollars (39 billion euros) worth of iPhones, while analysts had expected only 40.2 billion dollars (35 billion euros). A revenue growth of 13 % is remarkable in a market that is considered saturated: iPhone sales have been stable for years.
