For the first time, an active farm is being equipped with a production facility for cultured meat. The aim is to learn how the production of cultured meat can complement livestock farming.
“Reducing a global problem to farm size”
The initiators speak of a world first: a collaboration between startup RespectFarms and dairy farmer Corné van Leeuwen is bringing cultured meat production to a working farm in Schipluiden, South Holland, for the first time. The project aims to demonstrate how farmers can produce meat directly from cells and integrate cultured meat production into their existing business operations.
