It is not often that the Belgian town of Ninove is the location of an international milestone, but with the opening of the 71st Domino’s Pizza in Belgium, franchiser DPE reaches exactly 1,000 restaurants.
Belgium’s main pizza brand
The group is expanding rapidly: Ninove welcomed the 48th new Domino’s in the Benelux this year. “With this 71st store we make sure we are the #1 pizza brand in Belgium”, says Misja Vroom, who is responsible for the brand in the Benelux. Fifty more stores are planned to open next year in the Benelux, including its first store in Luxembourg.
The Ninove restaurant is the 1,000th for the Australian company DPE, which holds the Domino’s franchises for Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Monaco, the Netherlands en New-Zealand. Worldwide, the pizza chain even has 15,000 stores in almost 100 countries, delivering some twenty million pizzas to customers’ homes.
