Lingerie company Van de Velde, known for brands such as PrimaDonna and Marie Jo, reported a decline in profits and sales for the first half of 2025. However, the difference between the channels is striking.
Fewer swimsuits, more D2C
Comparable sales amounted to 112.1 million euros, down 3.5% from last year. However, direct sales to consumers (D2C) grew by 5% to 29.7 million euros, as opposed to B2B activities, including deliveries to independent lingerie shops and department stores, who fell 6.2% to 82.4 million euros.
