Soon, American outlet chain TK Maxx will open 2 new stores in the Netherlands, in The Hague and Heerlen. TK Maxx currently already has 3 stores in the Netherlands.
20 to 25 Dutch stores
The TK Maxx in Heerlen will be located in the remodeled De Bongerd shopping center, right in the heart of the city. The exact location for the store in The Hague has not been revealed yet, but the outlet chain is already looking for new employees for both stores.
The chain returned to the Netherlands in October 2015, when it opened its first store in Eindhoven, quickly followed by 2 stores in Groningen and Rotterdam. It had previously entered the Dutch market 15 years ago, but had to shut down following disappointing results.
It will not stop its Dutch expansion with these two new stores, as it aims to open 20 to 25 stores across the country. TK Maxx already has more than 400 stores in Europe and aims to add nearly 600 more in the next few years.
