Primark expects revenue to grow around 1 % in its current financial year (ending this Saturday). Over the past six months, the fast-fashion retailer delivered saw its American and British sales go up, but sales on the European continent were down.
United States stand out
CEO George Weston of Primark owner Associated British Foods claims to be “pleased with how the group has performed in the second half of our financial year in what continues to be a challenging environment, characterised by consumer caution, geopolitical uncertainty and inflation”. Primark’s adjusted operating profit margin for the full financial year should be broadly in line with last year.
