Italian fashion house Versace appointed Jonathan Akeroyd as its new CEO, a former Alexander McQueen CEO. He will succeed Gian Giacomo Ferraris, who was in charge of the fashion label for more than 5 years.
“Proven track record”
Akeroyd has been appointed immediately, but will only start working for Versace mid-June. His predecessor, Ferraris, joined the company as CEO in 2009, but left the company last month.

Jonathan Akeroyd’s industry expertise and vision will be key to advancing the next phase of Versace’s development.”
Akeroyd said it was an honour to work for such a dynamic and innovative company. “Versace is an iconic lifestyle brand recognized globally as a premier name in luxury”, Akeroyd said.
