Inditex sets its sights on America: Bershka to open first US stores in 2026

Bershka is set to open its first physical stores in the United States in 2026. Following Zara and Massimo Dutti, it will become the third Inditex brand to have a presence in the US. However, the Spanish fashion group intends to grow its footprint in the country rapidly.

American investment program

Bershka will make its US debut with two stores in Miami, building on the brand’s “excellent online performance” in the country. Sister brand Massimo Dutti also returned in November 2024 with a store in Miami. “The United States is a very relevant market for us,” said CEO Óscar García Maceiras. Inditex still has a low market share in the US, the group acknowledges. Future growth is therefore “in our own hands and does not depend on market performance.”

The introduction of Bershka is part of a broader investment plan in the US. In 2025, Inditex opened a Zara flagship store in The Grove in Los Angeles and a new store in Las Vegas, among other locations. Zara has also added a store in Charlotte, North Carolina to its portfolio, bringing the total number of US states in which it operates to twenty-six. Plans for 2026 include a Zara flagship store on Union Square in San Francisco and a renovation of the Fifth Avenue location in New York.
