Hugo Boss appoints new CEO

German fashion label Hugo Boss has appointed Mark Langer as its new CEO. He has been with the company for more than a decade and has been the company’s financial director since 2010. He will now also take control of the company as a whole.

“I am convinced Mark Langer’s appointment is the right choice, especially considering the current situation. Mr. Langer has our complete confidence. With the actions already taken within the last couple of months, he has acted quickly and shown great determination as well as strategic foresight”, ” said supervisory board chairman Michel Perraudin.

Mark Langer is looking forward to the new task at hand. “Due to my long-standing work for Hugo Boss, I have a clear understanding of the company’s potential and know what we need to do to get it back on track for profitable and sustainable growth”, Langer said.

Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, his predecessor, decided to leave the company after having to send out 2 profit alerts in the space of a mere 6 months.
