After a disappointing previous quarter, Douglas is returning to growth in period April-June. Online is the strongest grower, but the German perfume chain does continue to struggle on the important French market.
The winning model
In the previous quarter, Douglas saw its sales grow 3.2 % to one billion euros. With this, the retailer is recovering after a 2 % drop in sales in the previous quarter. However, this reversal was partially caused by a favourable calendar effect as Easter fell later this year.
