Albert Heijn's board undergoes changes

Fashion9 September, 2015

Multiple changes

Marit van Egmond is now the executive vice president Merchandising & Sourcing, which means she will be in control of the Fresh and Preservables branches within the board of directors. That means the position of director of Preservables is now redundant, so its last occupant Erik-Jan Mares was geared towards the merger between Ahold and Delhaize.

Saskia Egas Reparaz is now the senior vice president Marketing & Format, after having previously led convenience store chain AH to go. Her new responsibilities coincide with Adriaan Thierry’s, the former director Omnichanel Marketing & Format, which is why he will leave the company.

The chain’s online activities have been decoupled from Marketing & Format, which means that Selma Postma (general manager of Albert Heijn online) will report directly to Wouter Kolk.
