Restaurant meals in major European cities

Greenoaks Capital and Index Ventures are some of the companies that have invested into Deliveroo, which now seeks to expand its delivery service across major European cities like Berlin, Paris and Dublin. Plans for expansion to 25 major British cities, like Manchester and Brighton, have also been made.It is even considering heading to the Middle East and Asia.

Within half an hour of the customer’s restaurant choice on Deliveroo’s website, a scooter or bicycle delivery will be made.

Will Shu launched the delivery service in 2012 after discovering that the city did not have a luxury meal delivery service. The rapidly expanding online food delivery branch is populated by services like Just Eat, GrubHub, German Delivery Hero and the Foodora. The latter is a bike delivery service for restaurants and food stores which launched in October 2014 and seeks expansion in 12 countries.
