Top Brands sells French Pizza Hut pick-up points

Polish AmRest Holdings acquired Pizza Hut’s French pick-up points and delivery services from Belgian group Top Brands for an undisclosed fee.

Double in 5 years’ time

Belgian Top Brands, which managed Pizza Hut Livraison & Express’ 123 pick-up points since 2009, sold its rights to Polish AmRest, which already manages 92 Pizza Hut locations in Central Europe and Russia. “This is another step in AmRest’s expansion into Western Europe”, AmRest Pizza Hut Livraison & Express’ chairman, Monika Czyz, said.

 

The Polish company has major ambitions in France: over the next five years, it intends to double the number of Express locations. “This partnership enables continuous investments to help grow our franchise stores and to offer a better customer experience”, Pizza Hut Europe’s managing director, Raphaël Miolane, said. Pizza Hut Europe currently has more than 1,400 restaurants across 25 European countries. “This will rapidly help expand the brand in France, one of Pizza Hut’s most important European markets”, he said.

 

The very first French Pizza Hut opened in 1987. Nowadays, the chain has 150 French restaurants and employs about 3,000 people. According to market research company Gira Conseil, French citizens eat the most pizza in all of Europe and only trail American pizza consumption worldwide.
