Spar International appointed Graham O’Connor, Spar South Africa’s current CEO, as its new president. He will succeed Spar Ireland’s chairman of the board, Leo Crawford, who was Spar’s president for more than 10 years.
“Great honour”
Graham O’Connor has been Spar South Africa’s CEO since January 2014, after previously handling the South African region KwaZulu-Natal as Spar’s Divisional Managing Director. He has plenty of experience within Spar South Africa, both on retail and wholesale level.
“To be elected as President of SPAR International is a great honour. I look forward to working with the Board and our Partners from all over the world to continue to grow and develop the organisation. I would also like to formally thank Leo Crawford for all his hard work and dedication to the role throughout his outstanding tenure as President”, O’Connor said about his appointment.
