This week, Lidl is opening a pop-up restaurant in Amsterdam called Le Deux. With this reference to its Deluxe range, the discounter wants to emphasise that “luxury is not out of reach”. The restaurant is such a success that the number of available seats had to be increased immediately.
An influencer, a star chef and a model
The temporary concept aims to show that a festive Christmas dinner does not have to be expensive, the discounter says. In the kitchen, cookbook author Tobias Camman and star chef Niven Kunz are working together to create a convincing festive menu using ingredients from the Lidl Deluxe range.
