After a few difficult years, Gimber has returned to profitability. The Belgian ginger drink brand cut costs and scaled back its export markets, while cans and new flavors are driving growth.
Fewer exports, lower costs
Last year, Gimber posted an operating profit before depreciation of 2 million euros and also ended the year with a net profit. Revenue rose by 14.5 percent to 21.7 million euros, the company reported to De Tijd. With this, the ginger brand has turned the tide after several years of losses.
