The Italian Campari Group continues to streamline its portfolio: the spirits producer is selling the liquor brands Averna (amaro) and Zedda Piras (mirto) to the Illva Saronno holding company, known for its amaretto. The 100 million-euro deal includes the brands, production facilities, and part of the workforce.

The agreement also includes transitional arrangements for production and distribution: Campari will continue to produce and bottle Averna at its factory in Canale for the time being. Distribution in the DACH region (Austria, Germany and Switzerland) will also remain with Campari for the time being, the group said in a press release.
