Sidestep is coming to Belgium

iconFashion12 July, 2021

Trainer specialist Sidestep, a Foot Locker subsidiary, is opening its first Belgian store in Antwerp, next Friday. The opening is supported by six local creative ‘trailblazers’.

Events

The new store is located in the former Foot Locker building on the Meir, the city’s main shopping street. The building was redesigned based on a Scandinavian-inspired retail design, creating a premium, minimalist and inviting shopping experience.

For its opening, Sidestep is collaborating with six Antwerp ambassadors: stylist Farah El Bastani, photographer Anton Fayle, DJ Kevin Kofii, videographer Charlotte Degreef, fashion blogger Dennis Van Peel and make-up artist Gladys Ferro. Not only can they be seen in the store throughout the campaign shoot, but they will also put their skills to use in various events over the coming weeks. For example, there will be a DJ set by Kevin Kofii on 17 July, and a week later, Gladys Ferro will hold a nail art session. All activities are free to the public.

“At Sidestep, we are passionate about connecting the creative and fashion worlds to build an inspiring place for our clients. Antwerp is known all over the world as a fashion destination and a hub for creativity, making the city the perfect choice for the first opening in Belgium”, general manager Kick van der Staak said.
