A look at the very first Louis Vuitton restaurant and café

Fashion2 February, 2021

Louis Vuitton has ventured into the hospitality industry with its very first café and restaurant: Le Café V and Sugalabo V. The French luxury brand chose the Japanese city of Osaka as its location.

Floating ship

Louis Vuitton announced its plans for a café and restaurant a year ago.  Now, the brand is allowing the general public to take a look inside. Both Café V and Suglabo V are located on the top floor of the store, writes Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.

Both restaurants offer dishes from the famous chef Yosuke Suga, who was once one of Joël Robuchon’s protégés, a legendary Michelin star chef. The café also has a terrace where customers can enjoy a cocktail.

The interior is by designer Jun Aoki and is intended to give customers the impression that they find themselves on a floating ship. Tokujin Yoshioka, who previously created a furniture collection for the fashion house, was in charge of the finishing details.
