Amazon offers faster delivery in the Netherlands

Amazon.nl customers in the Randstad region of the Netherlands can receive orders placed before 3 p.m. on the same day. The retailer plans to expand this fast delivery service to other regions.

Delivered between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Amazon has extended the cutoff time for same-day delivery orders to 3 p.m. Same-day delivery takes place between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. More than 25,000 products are available. The improved service is already available to customers in the Randstad, and Amazon plans to expand it to other regions in the Netherlands in 2027 and 2028. For Prime members, the service is free for orders over 20 euros; non-Prime members pay 4.99 euros.

The launch of the new Same-Day Delivery service in the region follows the opening of a new fulfillment center in Waddinxveen, which is operated by logistics service provider Dragonfly. It is also a direct result of Amazon’s investment of more than 1.4 billion euros in the Netherlands for the period 2025–2027.
