European Pizza Group, the owner of the Wagner and Buitoni pizza brands, is set to merge with the British pizza manufacturer Crosta Mollica. Together, they will form a group with revenue of 1 billion euros.

Complementary businesses

The merged group, which it says will become one of Europe’s largest pizza companies, will continue to operate Crosta Mollica and European Pizza Group as independent companies. No changes are planned in the short term to the business models of either company, which have proven to be highly complementary. David Milner, currently chairman of Crosta Mollica, will become CEO of the merged group. Tom Sirett will remain CEO of Crosta Mollica, while Matthias Casanova will continue as CEO of European Pizza Group.
