Jesper Højer, the Danish former top executive of Lidl, will become the new CEO of Jumbo. The Dutch supermarket chain is bringing in a heavyweight to lead the company out of a turbulent period.
“Clear preference”
Jesper Højer, former top executive of Lidl International, will become the new CEO of the Dutch supermarket chain as of 1 January 2026. According to co-owner Colette Cloosterman-van Eerd, a long-term solution has finally been found with Højer: “Jesper was our clear preference and is the ideal candidate for us to take Jumbo to the next phase of growth. He is curious, positive and dares to think differently. That is important in this rapidly changing market.”
