Zalando invests 100 million euro in new distribution centre

Serving Southern Germany, Switzerland and France

The German company will invest 100 million euro into the 13 hectares-large distribution centre in Lahr, creating 1,000 new jobs. The site should be operational in the fall of 2016 and is designed to serve customers in the south of Germany, Switzerland and France.

The location will become Zalando’s fourth German distribution centre, following those in Brieselang (2011), Erfurt (2012) and Mönchengladbach (2013). Some 5,000 people currently work at its three distribution centres, which occupy a total space of 275,000 sqm.
