Carlos Crespo officially new Inditex CEO

Carlos Crespo’s appointment as CEO of Inditex, which was announced earlier, has been officially confirmed by the Spanish fashion group’s general meeting.

Crespo’s promotion from COO to CEO was confirmed by Inditex’ annual general meeting. He replaces Pablo Isla, who was appointed executive chairman. The two man will work together to develop the company’s strategy in the future.

Crespo (48) has been working for Inditex since 2001, but only became COO last year. His role in Inditex’ digitisation earned him a lot of praise, not in the least from Isla.
