Rising demand for premium perfumes and strong performance in the key Chinese market have made Estée Lauder optimistic following an increase in revenue and profits during the past fiscal year.
Recovery strategy pays off
In the fiscal year ending June 30, Estée Lauder saw net revenue rise 5% to $15.049 billion (approximately 12.93 billion euros). Gross profit rose 7% to $11.362 billion (approximately 9.77 billion euros), and operating income came in at $780 million, compared with a loss of $785 million a year earlier.
